Systems Engineer (Rust) at Backpack

<h2>You will:</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own critical components of Backpack’s backend infrastructure written in Rust</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Design and implement low-level systems with an emphasis on safety and performance</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Collaborate closely with product, infra, and security teams to build robust and reliable systems</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proactively identify bottlenecks, security issues, and performance improvements</p></li></ul><h2>Requirements:</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">At least 3+ years of experience writing production-level Rust</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Deep understanding of systems programming (memory management, concurrency, networking)</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience building high-performance services and tooling from scratch</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Obsessive about code quality, performance, and security</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Very fluent in English</p></li></ul><h2>What you’ll get:</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Generous ownership &amp; stake in the company.
