Software Engineer (Backend) - Distributed Systems at Alchemy Inc.

<p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>About The Role</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">As a Software Engineer at Alchemy, you’ll be focused on building one of the most sophisticated and high-throughout distributed systems that power the global backbone powering billions of users in Web3. It’s a unique opportunity combining the most challenging engineering problems, crypto-forward exposure, and direct customer impact.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">To help define the vision for the backend infrastructure that supports our team’s product pillar and guide the team in executing against that vision</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Design, build, and maintain highly scalable and reliable infrastructure, APIs, and services</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Contribute to and participate in system design discussions, stand-up meetings, and code reviews</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Develop and own best practices for backend infrastructure with a focus on high throughput, high reliability, and low latency</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Collaborate with other technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify business priorities, define the team roadmap, and act on them</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">8+ years of relevant industry experience</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining core backend software components (experience with API platforms a plus)</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to solve complex design, scaling, latency, or performance problems in high-throughput, low-latency systems in production</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Production experience with Java, Golang, C++ or similar</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience in Cloud Native environments, particularly in AWS</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with managed Kubernetes layers like AWS EKS a plus</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Self-starter attitude and the ability to execute new ideas with autonomy</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Know how to find the right balance between perfection and shipping quickly</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Founded a company or built side projects, a plus</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience in startups, a plus</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Benefits and Perks </strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">🩺  Medical, Dental, &amp; Vision<br />💪  Gym Reimbursement<br />🖥️  Home Office Build-out Budget<br />🥙  In-Office Group Meals<br />🧘‍♂️  Wellbeing &amp; Mental He
