Senior Software Engineer - Backend at dYdX Trading

Optimize for throughput, latency, and correctness under high-concurrency across many trading pairs.</span></li><li class=""><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Own real-time market infrastructure. Build the pipelines that process, aggregate, and distribute order book updates, trades, and market events to traders.</span></li><li class=""><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Build for 24/7 uptime. The exchange doesn't rest. Design systems for seamless upgradeability, horizontal scalability, and zero-downtime deploys.</span></li><li class=""><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Shape the architecture as we scale. Make foundational technical decisions about how the platform evolves as we add asset classes and increase throughput.</span></li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>REQUIREMENTS:</strong></div><div><br></div><ul><li class="">5+ years experience working as a full-time developer</li><li class="">You write secure, efficient, high quality code and have a good understanding of CS fundamentals</li><li class=""><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Experience building or integrating with trading systems.</span></li><li class=""><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Deep understanding of distributed systems and software architectures, excellent coding skills, and strong debugging capabilities.</span></li><li class=""><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Fast learner who can quickly master new technologies.</span></li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>NICE TO HAVES:</strong></div><div><br></div><ul><li class=""><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Experience or interest in decentralized finance.</span></li></ul><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><em>Salary range for this role is $210K to $300K USD (NY). Compensation subject to experience and location.
