Senior Engineer - Payment & Wallet at Coinhako

<p style="min-height:1.5em">We are looking for a <strong>Senior Engineer</strong> to join our <strong>Payments &amp; Wallet </strong>team<strong> (</strong>also known as PAW 🐾<strong>)</strong> — the core group handling <strong>asset management, compliance</strong>, and <strong>On-chain Services &amp; Integrations (Superwallet)</strong> at Coinhako.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance services that power our payments and wallet infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration across systems, optimize transaction workflows, and enhance platform reliability and scalability.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>What you'll be doing:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Architect and build scalable backend services. Our tech stack is Rails 7, Go, Sidekiq, REST, AWS, Docker;</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Design and build high-volume APIs used by our frontends and external traders;</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Take initiative to ensure the long-term quality of the code and drive decisions related to the architecture of production systems;</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Manage and maintain custody solutions for digital assets. Ensure the highest level of security and compliance in handling and storing digital assets, including cryptocurrencies, tokens, and digital records;</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Collaborate with other engineers, product managers and designers during various product development stages;</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>What we're looking for:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Understand good practices of building and working with APIs;</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Have 5+ years of building scalable distributed systems with a strong background in Ruby, Go is a plus;</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Comfortable with ambiguity and scoping solutions with your teammates;</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You’re organized, proactive and can be your own manager;</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Knowledge of cryptography and security principles in blockchain as well as compliance and regulatory frameworks for cryptocurrency.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>What’s in it for you:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Friendly and fun start-up work culture</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Convenient work location located in the heart of CBD area</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.
