Built as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized "house," Polymarket aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities that reflect collective expectations about the future. Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media and we need your help adding fuel to the fire. About the Role Polymarket is looking for a Senior Financial Data Analyst to sit between our finance team and our data warehouse. The other half of the role is analytical. You'll be the person who understands how fees, incentives, and promotions actually flow through to revenue and retention, including what a promotion cost, what it returned, and whether the traders it brought in stayed. And you'll do it in a fast-moving environment where new products and incentive structures launch constantly. What You'll Do Build and maintain the financial reporting layer in our data warehouse, including the modeled tables finance relies on for close, forecasting, and board reporting Work across the general ledger and platform data to reconcile what the business recorded against what actually happened on the platform Translate raw transaction, fee, and trading activity data into clean financial reports that need no manual cleanup before anyone can use them Analyze fee structures and how they affect volume, revenue, and trader behavior Measure the return on incentives and promotions, including what they cost, what revenue they drove, and whether the traders they acquired retained Partner with finance through monthly close, variance analysis, and the numbers that feed forecasts and investor reporting Replace ad hoc requests with recurring reporting, working with analytics engineers to promote it into the modeled layer Write end-to-end documentation that’s clear and thorough enough that anyone on the team can pick up your reports and models without friction What We're Looking For 7+ years in data analysis/science, financial analysis, or a similar role, with production experience building reporting that a finance team depends on Expert SQL. You can work through complex joins across transaction-level data without supervision Data science background including causal inference, quasi-experimental methods, or predictive modeling in Python or R Working knowledge of accounting fundamentals including general ledger structure, accruals, revenue recognition.
