You’ll own the legal frameworks that govern trading on Kalshi, from rulebooks and market terms to clearing agreements and regulatory filings.</p> <p>In this role, you’ll ensure every market contract is clear, compliant, and scalable. You’ll partner across teams to translate regulatory requirements into practical agreements that let our markets expand quickly while maintaining full regulatory confidence.</p> <hr> <h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Market Contract Development</strong> <ul> <li>Draft, review, and refine contracts that govern how our markets operate, including event contract specifications, trading terms, clearing documentation, and participant agreements.</li> <li>Collaborate with Product and Risk to ensure market structures meet both business needs and regulatory standards.</li> <li>Build standardized templates and rulebooks to streamline how new markets are launched and maintained.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Regulatory & Compliance Alignment</strong> <ul> <li>Ensure all market contracts comply with CFTC regulations and other applicable laws.</li> <li>Work closely with compliance to incorporate rule changes, disclosure requirements, and governance standards into contracts.</li> <li>Stay ahead of regulatory developments affecting event contracts and derivatives markets.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Cross-Functional Legal Partnering</strong> <ul> <li>Partner with Growth and Partnerships teams on agreements with institutional traders, liquidity providers, and vendors.</li> <li>Translate complex regulatory and legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders.</li> <li>Act as a business-minded partner during n
