You will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of cross-functional projects — translating business and trading priorities into clear roadmaps, unblocking your team, and ensuring we ship reliable, scalable systems on time. This is a high-impact role for an experienced engineering leader who is energized by the pace of digital asset markets and wants to build a culture of technical excellence in a fast-moving, international environment. The role is based in London.</p> <p><strong>WHAT YOU WILL DO</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>People Leadership & Growth:</strong> Manage, coach, and grow a team of back-end engineers, including setting expectations, running performance reviews, and supporting career development, while actively recruiting new talent.</li> <li><strong>Project & Delivery Ownership:</strong> Lead the planning, execution, and end-to-end delivery of cross-functional projects across trading, quant, and product teams. This includes owning roadmaps, risk management, prioritization, and communicating status to stakeholders.</li> <li><strong>Technical Strategy & Excellence:</strong> Partner with quants and traders to define engineering roadmaps for core trading systems (OMS, algorithmic trading, analytics). Drive architecture reviews (Rust/Python) and champion best practices in software engineering (code quality, testing, observability) for high-availability crypto markets.</li> <li><strong>Operational Improvement & Alignment:</strong> Continuously improve team development processes, on-call practices, and incident response to maintain stability.
