Director, Platform and Integration Lead at Blockstream

<p style="min-height:1.5em">Blockstream was founded in 2014 by Dr. Adam Back and a group of cryptographers and engineers passionate about Bitcoin and its potential to transform financial infrastructure. Today, Blockstream builds secure Bitcoin and Layer-2 technologies used by banks, financial institutions, and enterprises worldwide.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We are seeking a <strong>Director, Platform &amp; Integration Lead</strong>, a senior leadership role responsible for defining how client platforms are technically realized across systems, data environments, and Blockstream infrastructure.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">This role operates in close partnership with the <strong>Director, Industry Lead, Financial Services</strong>, translating industry-specific solution strategies and reference architectures into <strong>scalable, production-ready platform implementations</strong>. While the Industry Lead defines <em>what</em> should be built and <em>why</em> based on market and client needs, the Platform &amp; Integration Lead defines <em>how</em> those solutions are architected, integrated, and delivered at scale.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Acting as the bridge between the Head of Solutions and the Head of Delivery, this role ensures that architectural designs are executable, interoperable, and aligned with enterprise-grade integration standards.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2><strong>What You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities)</strong></h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Lead the <strong>architecture and integration of multi-system client platforms</strong>, connecting banking systems, enterprise infrastructure, and Blockstream technologies</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Partner closely with:</p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Director, Industry Lead, Financial Services</strong> to translate industry solution strategy and reference architectures into platform designs</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Head of Solutions</strong> to refine platform architecture and technical direction</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Head of Delivery</strong> to ensure systems are buildable, testable, and scalable in production</p></li></ul></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Define and own the <strong>platform integration strategy</strong>, including:</p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">API architecture and system connectivity</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Data flows, data models, and platform orchestration</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Event-driven architectures and messaging systems</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Cross-platform interoperability standards</p></li></ul></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Design how <strong>APIs, data pipelines, platform services, and AI-enabled capabilities</strong> interact to form unified institutional platforms</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">E
