We believe in an open and decentralized world, where we play a pivotal role in powering decisions and insights to drive greater understanding and adoption of cryptocurrencies.</p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>As BD Manager for our API product line, you’ll own the end-to-end sales cycle for CoinMarketCap’s data API offerings. You’ll work with exchanges, DeFi protocols, fintech apps, data aggregators, and institutional clients to help them leverage CMC’s market-leading crypto data through our API solutions.</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong><br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Own the full sales cycle for CMC’s API products — from prospecting and demo to close and expansion<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Identify and engage new API customers across exchanges, DeFi protocols, fintech platforms, data aggregators, and institutional/TradFi firms<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified API opportunities, tracking progress and forecasting revenue<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Understand client data needs and propose the right API tier, endpoints, and integration approach<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Serve as the primary point of contact between API clients and internal teams (product, engineering, support) for onboarding and issue resolution<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Expand revenue from existing API clients by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Stay current on competitor API offerings, pricing, and market trends to sharpen CMC’s positioning<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Collaborate with Product to relay client feedback and influence the API roadmap</p> <p><strong>What You Bring</strong><br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;3+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, ideally selling API/data/SaaS products<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong network within the crypto industry — exchanges, DeFi, fintech, or institutional crypto<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Solid understanding of APIs, data products, and how technical buyers evaluate them<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Fluency in English (native level); additional languages are a bonus<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong organizational skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;BS/BA in business, marketing, computer science, or a related field</p> <p><strong>Nice to Have</strong><br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Experience selling crypto market data or financial data APIs specifically<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Familiarity with REST/WebSocket APIs and developer documentation<br>• &nbsp; &
