Business Development Lead, Financial Institutions at Monad Labs

We believe that the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://monad.xyz/">Monad</a> blockchain--the performant and parallel EVM Layer 1--will help decentralized apps eat the world.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2><strong>The Role</strong></h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">We’re looking for a Business Development Lead to position Monad Foundation’s efforts to build out the Financial Institutions vertical. This is an entrepreneurial, high-autonomy role for someone who thrives on building from zero, identifying opportunities, forming partnerships, and creating momentum around real financial usage on the blockchain.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">This is a dual-mandate role. On one side, you will own Monad's financial institution relationships — building the pipeline, advisor network, and institutional narrative that positions Monad as the chain of choice when banks, exchanges, and market infrastructure providers evaluate where to build on-chain. On the other hand, you will own the operational backbone of Monad's institutional communications function — keeping stakeholders informed, tracking ecosystem and token health, and ensuring this function runs with consistency and quality.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2><strong>What You Will Do</strong></h2><h3><strong>Financial Institutions – BD &amp; Advisory</strong></h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build and manage a structured pipeline of target financial institutions — banks, exchanges, clearing houses, asset managers, and market infrastructure providers (e.g CME, ICE/NYSE, DTCC, Nasdaq etc) — tracking each organization across stages of engagement: awareness, evaluation, pilot, and committed.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Develop deep, trust-based relationships with senior decision-makers at major financial institutions, with a focus on the individuals and teams responsible for blockchain strategy, digital assets, and infrastructure decisions.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Cultivate internal champions within each target institution, recognizing that institutional decisions involve multiple stakeholders and that durable progress requires building a coalition, not relying on a single relationship.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Develop and execute an advisor and influencer strategy — identifying and engaging the consulting firms, advisors, and intermediaries that shape how financial institutions think about chain selection. These relationships often have more bearing on institutional decisions than direct BD efforts alone.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Maintain a real-time, working view of which institutions are evaluating competing chains and infrastructure, and the underlying drivers of those evaluations.
