Backend Engineer at SwapRail

<p style="min-height:1.5em">Design and build the core backend systems powering SwapRail, including APIs, routing engines, execution services, and data pipelines.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Location:</strong> Remote / Work from Home</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Type:</strong> Part-time preferred / Full-time available</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Responsibilities</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Build routing and aggregation logic for swap execution across multiple liquidity sources</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Integrate on-chain and off-chain data sources (RPC nodes, indexers, third-party APIs)</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Develop simulation and validation layers for transaction execution</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Optimize system performance for low-latency and high-throughput scenarios</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Design data models for quotes, routes, transactions, and execution states</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability across services</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Collaborate with wallet and frontend teams to ensure consistency in execution flows</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Requirements</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Strong experience with Node.js / TypeScript / Go / Rust</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Experience building high-performance backend systems</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Strong understanding of asynchronous systems and concurrency</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Experience with PostgreSQL and data modeling</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Experience integrating blockchain data or Web3 systems</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Nice to Have</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Experience with DeFi protocols or aggregators (1inch, 0x, Uniswap)</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Experience building trading or execution systems</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Experience with blockchain indexing (The Graph, custom indexers)</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Understanding of MEV, routing optimization, and slippage control</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">- Experience with caching layers (Redis) and performance optimization</p>
